Introduction
Many high-level chess-players (International Masters and Grandmasters)
often have problem in self-cultivation. How to work on openings is clear -
work with databases and chess engines, follow the latest novelties in our
variations, invent fresh ideas. But does one train tactical skills? Where to find
positions of quiet complex level?
Lack of such material prompted me to create this book. The games were
taken between July and December 2014. Search was conducted among the
decisive games of players with Elo rating 2400 and above. I have tried to find
positions which only have a single solution.
As a result of several months of searching, analysis and audits, I have
selected 200 positions.
The puzzles are arranged in increasing number of moves in the solution,
which generally corresponds to an increase in complexity of the puzzles.
